A Caney woman, who went viral in an incident with two Bartlesville Police officers, reaches a plea.
54-year-old Misty Armitage was charged in April 2024 with eluding and obstructing a police officer after she was pulled over for speeding. The Washington County District Attorney's Office dismissed the obstruction charge and amended the eluding charge to reckless driving. Armitage's deal includes a one-year deferred sentence with supervised probation by the Washington County District Attorney's Office.
Armitage told officers she was headed to the hospital with a bleeding grandchild in the backseat. Video evidence showed two police officers wrestling Armitage out of the vehicle. She is a co-plaintiff in a pending civil lawsuit with Glenda Martin, claiming officers Reed Blackard and Levi Johnson falsely arrested and assaulted them.
