The average time a superintendent stays in a school district is three years. This month, Blake Vargas celebrated his tenth year as superintendent of Caney USD-436.
Vargas says the love of the district, it's people, and amazing coworkers are big reasons he has been able to make it to the decade mark.
Vargas says students continue to be top priority, but there are some things that have changed in the last ten years.
Vargas says his door is open to anyone who wants to discuss the current state or future of USD-436, and he looks forward to many more years with the district.
