Authorities in McDonald County in southwest Missouri issue an arrest warrant for a Noal Marshal for felony perjury in a fatal hit-and-run case.
The warrant was issued for Rhonda G. Wise in connection to statements she made during an investigation into the fatal accident that killed a pedestrian in November 2024. The key evidence in locating the suspect was a serial number on a taillight lens left at the scene. However, an investigation by the Missouri State Highway Patrol revealed that the information displayed on the lens actually matched a wide array of vehicles and not just the truck belonging to the suspect in the case.
As a result of the investigation, the McDonald County Attorney's Office has dropped the charges against the hit-and-run suspect, stating that they would not pursue charges in a case based on untruthful information.
Wise has not yet been taken into custody.
