Osage County Commissioners choose a new medical provider for the Osage County Jail.

 

At this week's meeting, commissioners discussed a letter of intent to change providers to Dr. Cameron Rumsey of Pawhuska. Osage County Sheriff Bart Perrier says it's a better option to use a local provider.

 

The jail's current medical provider Turn Key Health had announced plans to raise their prices. Perrier says he didn't feel like the county was getting its money's worth from the company.

 

Commissioners agreed to the change in provider. Perrier added that Washington County has recently made a similar change and that Osage County will look to emulate that change.
