One person is in custody following a Saturday police chase in Yates Center.

 

Around 10pm on Saturday night, police attempted to stop a vehicle in downtown Yates Center. Instead of complying, the vehicle fled, leading police on a chase through city streets and into the county south of the City. The driver eventually gave up and pulled over. The individual was arrested without further incident.

 

Yates Center Police are looking for two juvenile males who were witnesses to the incident. Police say the boys are not in trouble and that law enforcement only wants to know what the two saw.

 

The investigation remains ongoing.
