The Kansas Highway Patrol releases its Memorial Day Weekend Holiday Activity Report.
This report covers the period from 6:00pm Friday through 11:59pm on Memorial Day. During this time, KHP personnel assisted 590 motorists. Troopers responded to four non-DUI related fatal crashes that resulted in seven deaths. These numbers match the total of non-DUI fatalities recorded during the same period in 2023 and show an increase compared to 2024.
The number of DUI arrests remained consistent with previous years, with 20 arrests made over the holiday weekend, mirroring figures from 2023 and just one less than in 2024.
