Coffeyville Area Community Foundation Presents the Annual Stephens Teaching Excellence Award

 

The Coffeyville Area Community Foundation announces the Annual Stephens Teaching Excellence Award.

 

This year's prize goes to long-time Field Kindley High School teacher Denise Wintjen. Wintjen has taught for USD 445 for 38 years, getting her start as a Kansas history teacher at Rossevelt Middle School before moving into the role of Physical Education and Health teacher at F-K-H-S, where she has taught for the past 13 years.

 

The Stephens Teaching Excellence Award recognizes the impact that Coffeyville teachers have on their students' lives and honors teachers in the Coffeyville Public School system who demonstrates a passion for their chosen profession. The recipient receives recognition and a $2,500 monetary award.

 

The award is presented by the John and Peg Stephens Fund in partnership with the Coffeyville Area Community Foundation.
