Two juveniles in Independence face charges of arson following a fire investigation.

Crews from Independence Fire and EMS were called to the location of Independence Overhead Door at 115 West Main Street last Thursday for a report of a structure fire. When firefighters arrived, they found a small fire at the back of the building. The fire was quickly extinguished with minimal damage to the property. However, the fire was determined to be suspicious in nature.

Following an investigation by Fire Investigator Chris Furr and the Independence Police Department, two juveniles were taken into custody.
