Mayfest Shows the Best of Caney This Weekend

 

 Caney Mayfest is underway, with music, food and fun for the whole family.

 Rides and inflatables are available today and tomorrow in Wark Park, with Fourth and Live beginning at 6:00 tonight on 4th Street. Tickets for the show featuring Jason Boland and the Stragglers, Emily Hollingshed, Keaton Herrmann, and Big County Entertainment are available at the gate.

 Registration begins at 8:00 a.m. Saturday for the Caney Mayfest Car Show, which begins at 9:00, and you can bring your own turtle for the turtle race at the skate park; registration begins at 9:00 with the race at 10:00. The Coffeyville Community Band is scheduled for 11:00 followed by a dance performance by Stage Art Productions at noon.

 Sunday's activities include a community church service at 10:30 in Wark Park, and a community Memorial Day service takes place at 11:00 a.m. Monday at Veterans Memorial Park.

 The event is sponsored by the Caney Community Betterment Group Foundation.
