Former MO Firefighter Arrested on Involuntary Manslaughter Charge

A former Missouri firefighter is arrested on a charge of involuntary manslaughter.

A Jasper County judge issued the warrant for the arrest of Brant Cullen yesterday for his role in the off-duty death of fellow firefighter Tucker Berry in October 2024. Cullen then turned himself at the Jasper County Detention Center and was booked on the charge. He was later released on bond with the condition that he not purchase or consume alcohol or visit an establishment where alcohol is served.

The involuntary manslaughter charge stems from an incident that occurred on October 19 when authorities say Cullen was operating a golf cart recklessly after consuming alcohol. Berry was standing on the back of a golf cart when he fell and suffered fatal injuries.

Cullen's next court date is unknown at this time.
