Flags across the state of Kansas will be flown at half-staff on Monday in honor of Memorial Day.
Governor Laura Kelly issued the order on Thursday, directing that flags throughout the state be flown at half staff from sunrise until noon on Monday in recognition of the Memorial Day holiday.
Kelly stated that Memorial Day is a time to recognize and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice to protect our freedom and that the State of Kansas thanks them for their service to the State and the Nation.
