Authorities in Cowley County are continuing to search for a missing Overland Park woman after her car is found abandoned just east of Moline.
The Kansas Bureau of Investigation issued a Silver Alert for 81-year-old Jerry McConnell after she disappeared a week ago while driving from Harrisonville, MO, to her home in Overland Park. McConnell is described as a white female, 5'6" tall, with blue eyes and gray hair. She weighs about 140 pounds. She was reportedly spotted by security cameras in Severy on May 15.
McConnell's 2009 Honda Accord was discovered earlier this week in a rural area north of US-160 on Cowley County.
Anyone with information about McConnell is asked to contact the Overland Park Police Department at 913-895-6300. Anyone who thinks they may have seen her should call 911.
