Dozens of Fredonia children are starting summer break in style, receiving new bicycles.

 

The Fredonia Area Community Foundation will be giving away 28 bikes and helmets to second graders today, after giving away bikes to third graders earlier in the school year.

 

Wilson County Health Department Administrator, and Healthy Living Action Team member Amy Lell says this is normally an annual event, but it was handled a bit differently this year.

 

Additional items of business at the County Commission meeting was approval of new book purchase for the Register of Deeds office, as well as a Road and Bridge update from Director Kary Tatum, with emphasis being put on beginning road repair on 500 Road.
