Multiple departments respond to a fire in rural Wilson County.

At around 5:30am, the Wilson County Fire Department was paged for a structure fire on the east side of the county. Arriving units were faced with heavy smoke and fire.

Firefighters made a quick attempt at an interior attack and search. No one was found inside but the structure was a complete loss. The Neodesha and Altoona Fire Departments assisted on the call.
