Oklahoma Legislature Passes Bill Banning Cell Phones in School

The Oklahoma State Legislature passes a bill prohibiting the use of cell phones and other personal electronic devices during the school day.

Pawhuska Superintendent Chris Tanner says the district needs to begin working on a rough draft for guidelines on how to monitor phone usage.  Oklahoma Schools must have policies in place during the first year, but have the option of opting out after the 2025-2026 school year.
