The Kansas Department of Transportation will host several open house in events in June regarding proposed improvements to US-69 in Crawford County.
The project is a highway corridor study to evaluate the current and future needs of U.S. 69 in Crawford County. Stakeholder and public input, as well as traffic and safety data will be compiled and analyzed, with a goal of forming a list of issues and opportunities for the highway. The limits begin at the intersection of East 650th Avenue, north of Arma in Crawford County, extending 18 miles to U.S. 69 and K-103 in Cherokee County.
On June 4th, there will be a meeting at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Frontenac from 11am to 1pm, and at Pittsburg High School from 4 to 6pm. On June 5th, there will be a session from 11 to 1 at the Homer Cole Community Center in Pittsburg and from 4 to 6 at Northeast Arma High School.
There will also be a virtual open house from 11am to noon on Friday June 6th.
