The Coffeyville City Commission makes changes to the ordinance amending the utility rates.

 

Commissioner Alec Hendryx says he has an amendment to the ordinance that was read at the last meeting.  Commissioner Don Edwards says he would rather have a work session to see how they could adjust the budget rather than raise rates.

 

The commission voted 4-1 to approve the amendment with the 2% increase taking place in July and a 5% increase in January. Due to the change of the ordinance, a second reading will be done at the next meeting.
