The City of Altamont is taking on a problem brought to light by the recent rains.
The problem is a leaky roof on a city building. Assistant Public Works Superintendent Nate Barnett says the problem is standing water.
This isn't the first time this spring the city has faced such an issue. A contractor has recently completed a similar repair on a different building. Council member Lyle Sykes says it would be a good idea to get a quote from that company.
The Council decided to bring in two contractors to examine the roof this week while there is no rain in the forecast. In other business, the council voted to table action on the Idle Hours Lake annexation until the May 22nd meeting.
