A federal grand jury returns an indictment for five people - including three Kansans - for stealing mail.
The indictment charges that the five former U.S. Postal workers stole Amazon return packages, mail, and other items of value between early 2023 and mid-October 2023. those names in the indictment include 64-year-old Laura Dantzler and 54-year-old Craig Roland, both of Kansas City, Kansas; 60-year-old Cheryl Wankum of Overland Park; 49-year-old Terrence Luster of Lee's Summit; and 49-year-old Arthur Hook of Lathrop, Missouri.
All five were employees at a Kansas City, Kansas, post office when the alleged incidents occurred. All face one count of conspiracy to steal mail and one count of theft of mail.
The U.S. Postal Service – Office of the Inspector General is investigating the case.
