An Oklahoma man enters a guilty plea to second-degree murder in Southwest Missouri.
31-year-old Scott Burleson of Wyandotte entered a guilty plea in a Jasper County courtroom on Wednesday in connection to the death of 36-year-old Seth Langford in 2024. On March 2 of last year, Jasper County Sheriff's deputies were called to the scene for reports of an assault. When they arrived, they discovered Langford, who was suffering from a stab wound. Langford was taken to a nearby hospital where he later died.
Burleson was arrested in the case nearly three weeks later. A second man, 37-year-old Paul Phillips of Seneca is also charged in the case.
Burleson will face sentencing for one count of second-degree murder on July 14.
