A local chiropractor and his grandson appear in a new movie that will be shown in Independence this weekend.
Caney Resident Dr. Michael Bush who practices in Bartlesville along with his grandson Presley Bowers has a part in the movie “Sod and Stubble”
Bush says the film follows the challenges of a family pioneering on the plains in Kansas and is based on a book written by John Ise and published in 1936. He says that name should be familiar to those who have been around Coffeyville for a while.
Bush says there are also a lot of familiar actors in this movie.
Bush and his grandson will be at the showings at Independence Cinemas this weekend, which take place tonight at 6 p.m. and tomorrow at 3 and 6 p.m. The movie is rated “G”.
