Two in Custody in Connection to Ark City School District Warehouse

 

Two men are in custody in connection to a recent break-in of a warehouse belonging to the Ark City School District.

 

The break-in was discovered and reported on Monday morning by district employees. An investigation of the scene revealed surveillance video showing that two people had forcibly broken into the building on Saturday morning and stolen equipment valued at over $9,000.

 

30-year-old Dakota Sparks and 32-year-old Dakota Hughes have been arrested in connection to the crime. Both men have been booked into the Cowley County Jail on charges of burglary, theft, and criminal damage to property. Each has had his bond set at $25,000.

 

A majority of the stolen items have been located and recovered.
