Forty cats are rescued from a hoarding situation in a mobile home in Sedgwick County.

The cats were rescued recently by Sedgwick County Deputies, who say the inside of the mobile home was in rough condition due to the number of animals living in such close quarters. Officers say the cats were not being cared for and the home was very dirty. Only one of the cats had been spayed or neutered.

The animals have been removed from the home and placed in the care of a local cat rescue organization. Sedgwick County has not revealed if charges will be filed in the case.
