The Bartlesville City Council rejects multiple amendments proposed for the city's recently approved comprehensive plan.
The comprehensive plan was originally approved last fall after a year long period of public input and community engagement. After the plan's initial approval, several members of the community requested changes to be made to the document. The council then voted to allow an additional 30-day period for comment on the measure.
Bartlesville Director of Community Development Larry Curtis says many of the comments appear to have originated from a single source.
Council member Aaron Kirkpatrick asked Curtis for clarification regarding the comments.
All of the amendments to the plan were defeated 3 votes to 2 with council members Tim Sherrick and Larry East voting in favor of them.
