Authorities in Cherokee County are investigating a Baxter Springs man for child pornography.

 

A tip submitted to the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office has led to an investigation, a search warrant, and the arrest of a 24-year-old Baxter Springs man. A search conducted on the suspect's home in rural Cherokee County led to the man's arrest in the case. Authorities have not made clear what was discovered during the search, stating only that the suspect has been taken into custody for suspicion of trading in internet child pornography.

 

The suspect has not yet been formally charged and his name has not been released.
