Two Sentenced for Roles in Fentanyl Death of Frontenac Teen

 

Two people are sentenced for their roles in the 2023 fentanyl overdose death of a Frontenac 18-year-old.

 

39-year-old Tabitha Wilson of Pittsburg and 47-year-old William Davis of Girard, each received sentencing for their part in the death of Kooper Campiti. Wilson was convicted of Involuntary Manslaughter and Distribution of Fentanyl and sentenced to five years in prison. Davis was sentenced to 3 ½ years for Distribution of Fentanyl. Upon their release, both will be subject to post-release and registration under the Kansas Offender Registration Act.

 

Both were found guilty of the distribution of the fentanyl that caused Campiti's death. The 18-year-old was found unresponsive in his home on April 21, 2023, and later died as a result of a fentanyl overdose.

 

The case was investigated by the Frontenac Police, Pittsburg Police, the Crawford County Sheriff's Office, the Kansas Bureau of Investigation and Homeland Security Investigation.
