A Copan man is facing a felony charge in a domestic assault case.
29-year-old Jason Close was charged with domestic assault and battery by strangulation. According to the Washington County Sheriff's Office, on Friday, the victim attempted to make an emergency call when Close took the victim's phone.
Close grabbed the victim, threw them to the ground, climbed on top of the victim and placed his right hand on the victim's throat. He will appear in court again on May 23rd at 9:00am. His bond is set at $25,000.
