The Montgomery County Commission approves two bids and officially announces the reopening of South Buckeye in Coffeyville.
At today's meeting, Public Works Director Brandon Beurskins announced his recommendations for the bids to accept for the three-year haying contract at the County Landfill and the contract for paint striping for county roads. Beurskins tells commissioners he recommends the haying go to a Coffeyville contractor and the paint contract to a Nebraska company.
Commissioners approved both recommendations. Beurskins also made the official announcement of the reopening of Buckeye Street. However, he says drivers may still see some work in the area as the contractor cleans up the work site.
In other business, the presidents of the Coffeyville and Independence Chambers of Commerce updated the commission on recent and upcoming events planned for both cities.
