A three-vehicle accident on US-400 in Cherokee County Leaves Two Injured

A three vehicle accident in Cherokee County on Friday morning leaves two people injured, one seriously.

The accident occurred in a construction zone on US-400 just north of Weir. Two vehicles were stopped in the construction zone, when a 2007 Suzuki rear-ended the last car in line. The Suzuki was driven by 33-year-old Amber Hatfield of Parsons. Hatfield was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash and sustained serious injuries. 39-year-old Kenneth Sulz of Goddard was the driver of the car that was struck. The impact pushed his vehicle forward into the rear of a Chevy Tahoe. Sulz was taken to a Pittsburg hospital with minor injuries. No one else was hurt in the crash.
