Three people are injured following a Friday afternoon crash just north of Cherryvale.

The accident occurred just after 2pm on Friday when a 2018 Lexus driven by 81-year-old Sharon Tims of Andover failed to yield at a stop sign while exiting US-400 onto US-169. Her vehicle was struck by a 2008 Ford Expedition driven by 57-year-old Shelley Thornton of Thayer. Both Tims and Thornton received minor injuries while a passenger in the Lexus – 81-year-old Burton Tims – was seriously injured in the accident.

All three were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment.
