There is progress being made on the patch in the Lake Waxhoma Dam near Barnsdall.
The recent heavy rains caused a patch in the dam to give way on Wednesday morning. Since the time the leak was discovered, Osage County Emergency Management Director Jerry Roberts has been directing crews to repair the damage to the structure. Roberts says they are close to having a short-term repair in place, but adds that the county needs to find a long-term solution.
On Wednesday morning, water began spilling through the patch, but Roberts says there is no cause for alarm.
Osage County crews continue their work to patch the leak.
