Independence Police respond to reports of a woman attacking an individual with a knife.

An emergency call came in around 7am on Tuesday morning, when the alleged victim called 9-1-1 claiming they were being attacked by a woman with a knife. I-P-D officers arrived on the scene in 300 block of South Earl Street. Following an investigation, officers placed 65-year-old Joan Robertson under arrest.

Robertson was taken to the Montgomery County Jail where she faces charges of aggravated battery, felony interference, criminal threat and assault on a law enforcement officer.
