It's springtime and that means it's time for farmers markets.
Farmers and Makers markets will open for the season in Independence and Coffeyville this Saturday. The Coffeyville Market will be open at Walter Johnson Park from 9am to noon. Vendors will be on hand to sell fresh fruits and vegetables, nuts, and honey as well a fresh baked goods.
The Independence Farmers and Makers Market will run from 7:30 to 11am on Saturday morning in the parking lot at 8th and Chestnut Streets directly behind Ana Mae's Coffee Shop.
