Floodwaters are being released at Grant Lake.
According to the Grand River Dam Authority, this morning as of 9:45 a.m., the elevation at Grand Lake was 745.75 feet, which is above the conservation level of 742 feet but below the flood stage. At the direction of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, one main spillway and three east spillway gates have been opened at Pensacola Dam, discharging 13,600 cubic feet per second of water.
Six units are online at the Pensacola Dam powerhouse, releasing an additional 13,447 cfs of water. Inflows to Grand Lake continue to exceed total outflows, but room remains in the reservoir. No floodgates have been opened at the Robert S Kerr Dam where some water is being released through generation.
