Nowata County makes a disaster declaration after last weeks storms. County Clerk Kay Spurgeon says the storms caused a considerable amount of damage in the county.

Spurgeon says the threshold of damages for the county to receive additional funding is $44,000. In other business, it was announced that the secretary for Nowata County has resigned.
