The winter wheat crop is coming along in Kansas and Oklahoma, with progress ahead of the five-year average.
K-State Research and Extension Wildcat District Crop Agent James Coover says farmers need to keep an eye out for rust development as this is the perfect weather for it to form.
Coover says if you see rust, he'd like to know so he can report it.
You can reach Coover at the Girard Extension Office at 620-724-8233.
