Buckeye Street to Possibly Reopen This Week

The latest report on the South Buckeye Street Project in Coffeyville is that it should be completed this week.

County Public Works Director Brandon Beurskins says there is very little left to do on the project.

With rain in the forecast, County Commissioner Robert Bever wants to make sure there is a Plan B that would allow the street to be opened.

In other business concerning Public Works at this week's County Commission meeting, commissioners decided to table the issue of a low-water crossing on County Road 6200 for the time being. The Commission wants to find a solution for the crossing that would allow it to remain open and stated that it would take some time to develop possible options.
