The Montgomery County Treasurer's Office reminds citizens that the second half tax deadline is quickly approaching.
2024 second half taxes on real estate, personal property, 16/20M trucks, gas, oil, and watercraft are due on May 10th. Since that day falls on a Saturday, the deadline has been extended until Monday, May 12th. There are several locations in the county where payments can be made. Those locations include the Treasurer's Office at the County Courthouse in Independence and the Coffeyville Auto Tag Office at 128 West 8th Street. They can also be submitted by mail as long as they are postmarked by May 12th.
