A McAlester man enters a guilty plea in federal court to charges of stealing items including a training missile from a federal facility.
The U.S. Attorney for Eastern Oklahoma charged Garland Seay with two counts of theft of government property and entering a military installation for a purpose prohibited by law. The charges alleged that Seay stole the missile along with other items, including computer hard drives, telescope spotlights, and spools of cables from the McAlester Army Ammunition Plant. Prosecutors say Seay admitted to committing the thefts over a five-day period in July of 2024 and then doing it again in September.
Seay will be sentenced in the case at a later date.
