A double-booking mishap at the 4-H buildings in Independence leads to a twice-as-nice Friday event.

The Friday double feature will include the Independence Arbor Day celebration that will move from the indoor 4-H building to one of the unenclosed buildings. There will still be community booths, arts and crafts, and a give-away of 50 Hackberry trees. That event runs from 5:30 to 7pm tomorrow.

In the enclosed building will be the bingo fundraiser for the Elk City Freedom Celebration. Play 15 games for $15 dollars, limit two packs per person, plus a special $5 50/50 game at the end of the night. There will be cash and prizes and concessions available. Bingo starts at 6:30 tomorrow night.
