The Cherryvale Fire Department works multiple fires all around the same time.
Fire Chief Joe Rexwinkle says crews were first called to an RV fire on 9th Street around 10:30 p.m. last Tuesday. Later into the night, he says the department responded to another fire on East 7th Street that involved a fatality.
The cause of either fire has not been released. No one was injured in the RV fire on 9th. City council members thanked Rexwinkle and his team for their work containing the fires.
