Stormy Easter Weekend Forecast; Flood Watch

 

A wet and stormy Easter weekend is on the way for the four-state area.

 

The weekend will start with a slight chance of severe weather tonight through early tomorrow morning. The most likely onset will be between 8 p.m. and midnight. Hail up to golf ball size is possible in addition to 60 – 70 mph winds.

 

In addition, a flood watch is in effect for the four-state area tonight through Sunday. Thunderstorms could produce 2 – 4 inches of rain for southeast Kansas, with 4 – 6 inches possible in northeast Oklahoma. Multiple rounds of rainfall are expected. Local amounts up to 8 inches are possible. The severe weather threat on Saturday afternoon into evening will mainly include eastern Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas.
