After receiving local approval, Montgomery County has approved Cherryvale's Annexation of Fairview Cemetery.

At this week's Montgomery County Commission Meeting, Cherryvale City Administrator Michael Hall told commissioners that the city wants jurisdiction over the property.

Commissioners had no issues with the plan and approved the annexation. This issue was recently discovered and Hall says this is simply a legal issue that had to be cleaned up. In addition, a bid was recently awarded for mowing and upkeep at the cemetery and Hall says he looks forward to further beautification of the property.
