The City of Miami recognizes two firefighters for their part in saving the life of a local man.
At Tuesday's Miami City Council meeting, firefighters Bryar Parker and Hunter Bissell were recognized for their efforts that helped save the life of a Miami man. The man – Tom Jarvis – was also at the meeting and spoke with emotion about what happened on the day he nearly died. Jarvis says the trouble began when he realized he was having trouble breathing and that his condition was getting worse.
Miami Mayor Bless Parker says it was a privilege to be able to recognize the two first responders.
Jarvis thanked both firefighters and the rest of the emergency personnel who helped him survive.
