A festival honoring a famous southeast Kansas playwright is coming up this week.
The 42nd Annual William Inge Festival kicks off tomorrow in Independence, and all are welcome to take part in the festivities.
Organizer Dee Molnar says there will be plenty of workshops and readings this year.
On Friday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m., Molnar says a brand-new play will be performed.
There will be other events around town and all are free and open to the public. A full schedule of this year's Inge Festival is available HERE.
