A school in the USD 446 district was recently recognized for being a recipient of the Challenge Award.
Jefferson School was honored during the April school board meeting, with Principal Noel O'Kane and Assistant Principal Haley Barker representing the school. Director of Learning Services Kellie Puderbaugh made the announcement to the board.
Puderbaugh says the Challenge Award recognized accomplishments from some of the best schools in the state of Kansas.
Additional items of business at the April board meeting was information regarding IHS Graduation, which is May 18th at 1 p.m. at Memorial Hall, as well as a Retiree Celebration on May 7th at 3:30 p.m. in the IHS Cafeteria.
