Locals Place in Coffeyville High School Rodeo

It was horse trailers as far as the eye could see as high schoolers and their families gathered in Coffeyville for a rodeo this past weekend.

Coffeyville hosted The Kansas High School Rodeo Association's event, and organizer Luke Carr says this is the 6th year for the event in town.

Contestants from multiple states attended the event, including Manhattan Resident Cole Castor, who competed in saddle bronc and says he was introduced to the event on social media.

Visit Coffeyville helped sponsor the event with a $2,000 tourism grant.
