The Bartlesville City Council will meet tonight and on the agenda for discussion is the regulation of the city's FLOCK Cameras.
FLOCK cameras are used to capture detailed data about license plates and vehicles. Advocates for their use say they are a useful tool in helping law enforcement identify vehicles that have been used in crimes. However, their detractors maintain the cameras are a violation of their right to privacy. At tonight's meeting, council members are expected to discuss regulations for their use in the city. This may include putting the issue on the ballot to let voters decide.
At tonight's meeting, there will be consideration to adopt the new city council meeting rules as well as the consideration of proposed city ordinances recommended by the unsheltered homeless task force.
The meeting begins at 5:30pm tonight in the Council Chambers at City Hall in Bartlesville.
