Cherokee County Sheriff's Office Seeks Public's Help in Identifying Hit-And-Run Driver

 

The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office seeks the public's help in identifying the driver in a weekend hit-and-run accident.

 

Authorities are looking for the driver of a black, extended-cab Dodge Ram pickup truck that was involved in an accident on westbound K-66 in Riverton. The accident occurred around 12:15 yesterday afternoon. The suspect pickup truck initially stopped at the scene of the crash when another vehicle stopped to assist. However, the driver then reversed his truck and fled the scene, colliding with the assisting vehicle in the process.

 

The suspect is described as an older white male, approximately 60 years old, with unkempt brown hair.
