Police in Newton County, Missouri, have arrested a female suspect after she led them on a police chase that ended in a crash.

The chase began on Highway 59 northeast of Neosho when a Newton County Deputy attempted to pull the driver over for a traffic infraction. During the pursuit, the suspect's vehicle lost a tire and eventually went off the road and into a ditch. The suspect continued to attempt to flee for an additional 10 minutes before surrendering and getting out of the car. Deputies were then able to discover that the driver was under the influence of marijuana.

The driver was then taken to the Newton County Jail. The suspect's name has not been released and formal charges have yet to be filed in the case.
